A Go Programming Notebook

CodeSolid is John Lockwood’s programmer’s notebook. Generally what you can expect to find here are articles about whatever newfangled language or tool I’ve been digging into lately.

Lately that’s consisted largely of golang, the new hotness, but at other times I’ve dealt with Spring, or Ansible, or even Rails.

I recently resurrected a lot of older articles as well that show some of that diversity. I’ve been writing about coding for some time, even longer than what’s represented here, but some of the earlier articles have been lost. That’s what I get for scratching them into the bones of freshly killed dinosaurs. Well, live and learn.

One of the things I’ve noticed about some of those articles is that from time to time I solemnly announced a decision I’ve made (for ever and ever, amen) about what I’m going to be when I grow up.

But being that specialist guy is not what I really am. I’m a guy who enjoys hacking around on different things, but of course professionally I tend to code whatever pays the bills.
